android-libaapt software package provides Android Asset Packaging Tool - Shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install android-libaapt
android-libaapt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the android-libaapt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep android-libaapt *
You will get with android-libaapt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
